The Arts Education Partnership Meets

The Arts Education Partnership of the Council of Chief State School Officers held its annual national forum on September 11-12, 2014 in Pittsburgh. The theme of the forum was “Preparing Students for the Next America in and through the Arts”, with a special focus on arts-centered solutions to close the achievement gap and prepare students for college and careers.

 

The forum included sessions on the role of the arts in closing the opportunity gap for student success; re-imagining through the arts; and the arts and the common core, with a presentation by Mike Cohen, President of Achieve.
